Speakerbus' iTurret solution now rated “Avaya Compliant”.

Compliance heralds in a new era of IP trader voice solutions, iTurret & Avaya Aura SIP Enablement Services enables the visualization of the trading environment, enhancing productivity and exploiting open standards architecture.

LONDON, United Kingdom 09 February - Speakerbus, a market leader in delivering innovative voice technology products such as SIP turrets, IP hoot n’ holler systems and conferencing platforms, today announced that its iTurret solution is compliant with key Avaya Aura SIP Enablement Services from Avaya, a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services.

The iTurret helps businesses reduce the back room equipment footprint, shrinking clients costs, minimizing complexity and optimizing support skills. All of which are important issues for regional offices, hedge funds and operations in emerging markets.  Speakerbus’ technology offers client-side conferencing which removes capital expenditure and capacity loading on a PBX, with the added benefit of incredible flexibility.  The solution is now compliance-tested by Avaya for compatibility with Avaya Aura SIP Enablement Services 5.2 and Avaya AuraTM Communications Manager 5.2.

John Young, CTO at Speakerbus Technology, added; “Our iTurret solution offers the tightest turret integration in the market today, tapping in to Avaya’s class leading pedigree in multiple verticals.  This partnership continues to empower our customers, delivering key trader features and a cost effective IP trading solution.” One of the companies benefiting from the interoperability of Speakerbus and Avaya solutions is Arbuthnot Securities, a business that specializes in investment banking.  Matthew Froggatt, Group Head of IT Infrastructure said “Utilising Speakerbus technology in our Avaya environment has allowed us to present our traders with the tools they require, wherever they are in the business.  The iTurret has proved to be a powerful solution for delivering dealer capabilities over an IP infrastructure.”

Speakerbus is a member of the Avaya DevConnect program—an initiative to develop, market and sell innovative third-party products that interoperate with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company’s investment in its network.

As a Gold member of the program, Speakerbus is eligible to submit products for compatibility testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab.  There, a team of Avaya engineers develops a comprehensive test plan for each application to verify whether it is Avaya compliant.  Doing so ensures businesses can confidently add best-in-class capabilities to their network without having to replace their existing infrastructure—speeding deployment of new applications and reducing both network complexity and implementation costs.

“By participating in Avaya’s compliance testing program and committing to open standards, development partners like Speakerbus are helping businesses get more out of their network investment,” said Eric Rossman, vice president, developer relations, Avaya.  “Our customers are able to easily communications-enable critical business processes, change the way they work and uncover new value that can help them build their bottom line.”
